Oggi finalmente si esplora il primo Parco Nazionale degli USA: il Red Rock Canyon National Park - Las Vegas, Nevada 
Cosi dopo una bella colazione, risistemiamo i nostri bagagli in auto e ci dirigiamo al poco distante National Park immerso nel deserto del Mojave (Nevada). Un breve giro al Visitor Center per riempiere le bottigliette d’acqua, mappa e qualche info ed iniziamo subito con lo Scenic Drive, un loop di 13 miglia attraverso il Red Rock Canyon che consente di esplorare gli alti e bassi del canyon, con molte fermate panoramiche e sentieri lungo la strada. Il Red Rock Canyon è un labirinto di canyon e cime, sporgenze, camini e scivoli che portano a sorprese intorno ad ogni parete. Ci sono diverse escursioni e sentieri che ti portano dai canyon profondi ai punti più alti del canyon, più o meno difficili. Dopo le tante fermate indicate, qualche passeggiata e tante foto giungiamo al termine del loop. Così decidiamo di dedicarci ad un percorso trekking dopo una breve chiacchierata con il ranger che ci illustra la bellezza, il livello di difficoltà e i pericoli possibili a cui stare attenti. Siamo pur sempre in piena natura ed è possibile trovare animali più o meno velenosi.. 
Ci fermiamo per il nostro pranzo al sacco lungo il sentiero che purtroppo non riusciamo a portare a termine in quanto una frana notturna aveva interrotto l’ultimo tratto…. Ma meglio così perché era pratica e tutto in salita
Questa prima esperienza ci ha lasciati sbalorditi e entusiasti per le prossime uscite che ci aspettano ma anche abbastanza stanchi. Saliamo in auto per spostarci verso un nuovo parco ma questa volta in Utah dove arriveremo in serata.
Il Red Rock Canyon è un labirinto di canyon e cime, sporgenze, camini e scivoli che portano a sorprese intorno ad ogni parete. Ci sono diverse escursioni e sentieri che ti portano dai canyon profondi ai punti più alti del canyon, più o meno difficili. Dopo le tante fermate indicate, qualche passeggiata e tante foto giungiamo al termine del loop. Così decidiamo di dedicarci ad un percorso trekking dopo una breve chiacchierata con il ranger che ci illustra la bellezza, il livello di difficoltà e i pericoli possibili a cui stare attenti. Siamo pur sempre in piena natura ed è possibile trovare animali più o meno velenosi.. Ci fermiamo per il nostro pranzo al sacco lungo il sentiero che purtroppo non riusciamo a portare a termine in quanto una frana notturna aveva interrotto l’ultimo tratto…. Red Rock Canyon Las Vegas

Today we finally explore the first National Park in the USA: Red Rock Canyon National Park - Las Vegas, Nevada
So after a nice breakfast, we rearrange our luggage in the car and head to the nearby National Park immersed in the Mojave desert (Nevada). A quick trip to the Visitor Center to fill our water bottles, map and some info and we immediately begin the Scenic Drive, a 13 mile loop through Red Rock Canyon that allows you to explore the ups and downs of the canyon, with many stops scenic views and trails along the way. Red Rock Canyon is a maze of canyons and peaks, ledges, chimneys and slides that lead to surprises around every wall. There are several hikes and trails that take you from the deep canyons to the highest points of the canyon, more or less difficult. After the many stops indicated, some walks and many photos we reach the end of the loop. So we decide to dedicate ourselves to a trekking route after a brief chat with the ranger who illustrates the beauty, the level of difficulty and the possible dangers to be careful of. We are still in the midst of nature and it is possible to find more or less poisonous animals.. We stop for our packed lunch along the path which unfortunately we are unable to finish as a landslide at night had interrupted the last treatment…. But it's better this way because it was practical and everything was uphill This first experience left us amazed and enthusiastic for the next outings that await us but also quite tired. We get in the car to move to a new park but this time in Utah where we will arrive in the evening.
