Anche oggi giornata ricca e piena di meraviglie da vedere

Solita routine con camminata solitaria di buon ora

, ricca colazione americana

e via alla scoperta di nuove cose…

Anche per oggi, la nostra prima parte della giornata, è in compagnia della nostra guida e con lei ci dirigiamo verso Chinatown New York. Con più di 90.000 abitanti, la Chinatown di New York è una delle comunità asiatiche più grandi fuori dall’Asia.

Un quartiere vivace tra Tribeca, Little Italy e l’East Side

Proseguiamo verso Little Italy, Che un tempo con i primi flussi migratori agli inizi del ‘900, ospitava circa 10000 italiani.

Oggi comprende solamente tre isolati e pian piano sta scomparendo per l’espandersi della vicina Chinatown

. Ancora esistono piccoli alimentari e negozietti con prodotti solamente italiani

… La nostra camminata ci porta nel West Village, chiamata anche Greenwich Village… totalmente diverso dal quartiere descritto sopra. E’ una zona residenziale, ma piena di negozi e ristoranti carini residenza di tanti personaggi famosi…

Per concludere il nostro tour di 4 ore, ci dirigiamo a Washington Square dove salutiamo la nostra guida e ci riposiamo nel giardinetto di questa splendida piazza. Qui pranziamo come di consuetudine con il classico street food americano

godendoci il fresco, l’ombra e la vista spettacolare

. Abbiamo altre 2 tappe previste per oggi… quindi ci dirigiamo subito verso il Madame Tussauds New York, dove Zoe&Zak avevano il desiderio di andare

.

Un paio di ore nel museo, sempre splendido

, e con Uber ci trasferiamo nel quartiere di Hudson Yards perché visitiamo il grattacielo e l’osservatorio The Edge,

Even today was a rich day full of wonders to see

Usual routine with an early solitary walk

, rich American breakfast

and off to discover new things…

Even for today, our first part of the day, we are in the company of our guide and with her we head towards Chinatown New York. With more than 90,000 residents, New York's Chinatown is one of the largest Asian communities outside of Asia.

A lively neighborhood between Tribeca, Little Italy and the East Side

We continue towards Little Italy, which once hosted around 10,000 Italians with the first migratory flows in the early 1900s.

Today it comprises only three blocks and is slowly disappearing for the expansion of nearby Chinatown

. There are still small grocery stores and shops with only Italian products

... Our walk takes us to the West Village, also called Greenwich Village... totally different from the neighborhood described above. It is a residential area, but full of nice shops and restaurants, residence of many famous people…

To conclude our 4-hour tour, we head to Washington Square where we say goodbye to our guide and rest in the small garden of this splendid square. Here we have lunch as usual with classic American street food

enjoying the coolness, the shade and the spectacular view

. We have 2 more stops planned for today... so we head straight towards Madame Tussauds New York, where Zoe&Zak wanted to go
