Ultimo giorno nel Parc national de la Mauricie per poi trasferirci nel Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean nel tardo pomeriggio. Come da programma andiamo alla scoperta dei dintorni di Shawinigan una cittadina come tante altre in Quebec che dopo momenti belli e meno belli per le vicessitudini storiche oggi è uno dei punti fermi per esplorare il Parco Nazionale.

Il trekking che scegliamo, Tour of Trou du Diable è un loop “moderato” e per questo di solo 8 km ma con diversi dislivelli e terreni misti.

Il Trou du Diable (Buco del Diavolo): questo luogo misterioso consiste in un vortice nel Fiume Saint-Maurice vicino alle cascate. La leggenda vuole che il Trou du Diable non abbia fondo, rendendo impossibile salvare chi ci cada dentro Gran bella escursione che dopo averci mostrato la foresta che circonda la città ci ha fatto conoscere le cascate qui famose (Shawinigan,Falls) che alimentano una importante centrale elettrica fino ad arrivare al belvedere con vista spettacolare sulla zona.

Rientro e picnic solito.

Passeggiata per caffè e cappuccino in centro e poi su in macchina per incamminarci verso la nuova meta.

Sosta prevista nel pomeriggio ad una Cabane du Sucre, per visita a questa Fattoria che produce sciroppo d’acero. Rifornimento di sciroppo e burro per l’Italia e via su strada nuovamente.

Day 4

Shawinigan Falls - Québec

Last day in the Parc national de la Mauricie and then we move to Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean in the late afternoon. As planned we go to discover the surroundings of Shawinigan, a town like many others in Quebec that after good and bad times due to historical events today is one of the fixed points for exploring the National Park.

The trek we choose, Tour of Trou du Diable is a "moderate" loop and for this reason only 8 km but with different altitude differences and mixed terrain.
