Ancora un gran bel sole ci accoglie oggi anche se con temperature rigidissime. Partiamo da un -9 per arrivare durante la fine della nostra giornata ad un bel -14

Super coibentati oggi abbiamo scoperto un altro gran ben grattacielo, visitando lo Skydeck Chicago nella Willis Tower e precisamente al 103 esimo piano. Vista spettacolare su tutta Chicago e sul lago Michigan, peccato per la foschia in quota che non ci ha permesso di vedere i 4 Stati confinanti. Ma comunque gran bella esperienza con foto di rito su delle vetrate sporgenti esternamente con pavimento in vetro . Lasciato il “bel vedere” ci siamo incamminati, tra una sosta da Starbuck e una in un negozio.. alla vota del Millennium Park , visitato dopo la sosta per il pranzo presso Giordano's Pizza dove abbiamo potuto assaggiare la Chicago Deep Dish Pizza, una pizza alta, formaggiosa e dal cornicione alto ricco di burro tipica di Chicago. Pieni ma soddisfatti siamo andati al Parco dove abbiamo potuto vedere :

- il Cloude Gate conosciuto come The Bean

- la Crown Fountain

- il Jay Pritzker Pavilion

- il Harris Theater for Music and Dance

- il Millennium Monuments

Sempre passeggiando in un freddo davvero pungente abbiamo fatto una breve visita al vicino Maggie Daley Park per vedere la splendida ed inedita pista di pattinaggio sul ghiaccio a circuito. Purtroppo super affollata e senza alcuna disponibilità di pattinaggio per i walk-in senza prenotazione. Il freddo ha messo di nuovo fame ai ragazzi… e allora che fai? Non la fai una bella fila di quasi 1 ora, all’aperto , con -12 gradi per entrare nel Nutella Cafe Chicago??? Un po’ incolfati svegliamo di restare a passeggio sul Magnificient Mile-N Michigan Ave ricco di negozi e boutique per tutti i gusti. Rientriamo nel tardo pomeriggio per un po’ di piscina e per sistemarci per la cena. Questa sera abbia scelto di andare in un rooftop e nello specifico al theWit Chicago, con dj dal vivo ed una vista mozzafiato sulla downtown

Day 2

Still a great sun welcomes us today even with very cold temperatures. We start from a -9 to arrive at the end of our day at a nice -14

Super insulated today we discovered another great skyscraper by visiting the Skydeck Chicago in the Willis Tower and precisely on the 103rd floor. Spectacular view of all of Chicago and Lake Michigan, too bad for the fog at high altitude that did not allow us to see the 4 neighboring states. But still a great experience with ritual photos on the externally protruding windows with glass floors . Leaving the "beautiful view" we set off, between a stop at Starbuck and one in a shop.. towards Millennium Park, visited after the lunch stop at Giordano's Pizza where we were able to taste the Chicago Deep Dish Pizza, a tall, cheesy pizza with a high crust rich in butter typical of Chicago. Full but satisfied we went to the Park where we could see:

- the Cloude Gate known as The Bean

- the Crown Fountain

- the Jay Pritzker Pavilion

- the Harris Theater for Music and Dance

- the Millennium Monuments

Still walking in a really biting cold we made a short visit to the nearby Maggie Daley Park to see the splendid and new ice skating rink with a circuit. Unfortunately super crowded and without any skating availability for walk-ins without reservations. The cold made the kids hungry again... so what do you do? Don't you stand in a nice line of almost 1 hour, outdoors, with -12 degrees to get into the Nutella Cafe Chicago??? A little bit blamed we wake up to stay for a walk on the Magnificient Mile-N Michigan Ave full of shops and boutiques for all tastes. We return in the late afternoon for a bit of swimming and to settle in for dinner. This evening I chose to go to a rooftop and specifically to theWit Chicago, with live DJs and a breathtaking view of downtown
