Amsterdam Day 2 – Zoe & Zak Trip

Day 2

Giornata molto molto ventosa oggi e tempo che non promette bene… ma tempo di una bella colazione e via in giro: Amsterdam ci attende

Ci dirigiamo verso il famoso mercato dei fiori, il Bloemenmarkt…un pittoresco mercato galleggiante

sul fiume Singel ricco di tulipani, bulbi di ogni tipo e souvenir. Dopo un giro tra i mille colori e profumi di questi fiori ci imbattiamo in una degustazione di Gouda in una tipica bottega che produce questo formaggio

. Anche se con difficoltà nel camminare per il vento continuiamo la nostra passeggiata per andarci a “rifugiare” nello splendido Museo della Scienza: Nemo

Progettato dall’italiano Renzo Piano è il più grande Centro Scientifico dei Paesi Bassi, direttamente sul mare

.

Nel pomeriggio cambiamo ancora programma…purtroppo il meteo è peggiorato e decidiamo così di visitare un altra meraviglia che ha da offrirci questa splendida città: Anne Frank House

La Casa di Anna Frank è una casa-museo di Amsterdam, allestito a partire dal 1960 in quella che fu in parte l'abitazione dove rimasero nascosti per due anni la giovane ebrea tedesca Anna Frank e la sua famiglia, assieme ai Van Pels, durante l'occupazione nazista nei Paesi Bassi

. Anche se è stata la mia personale seconda visita è un Museo che mi lascia senza parole e che non riesco a descrivere

.

Nel rientrare in Hotel per andare a cena fuori non potevamo non fermarci a fotografare : il Palazzo Reale Koninklijk Paleis Amsterdam spettacolare e maestoso; la Munttoren ossia la Torre della Zecca; e la De Nieuwe Kerk , la Chiesa Nuova situata vicino la famosissima Amsterdam Dam Square

. Anche sta sera possiamo andare a dormire soddisfatti e ricchi di nuove meraviglie viste e vissute

Day 2

Very very windy day today and weather that doesn't promise well... but time for a nice breakfast and off we go: Amsterdam awaits us

We head towards the famous flower market, the Bloemenmarkt... a picturesque floating market

on the Singel river full of tulips , bulbs of all kinds and souvenirs. After a tour among the thousand colors and scents of these flowers we come across a Gouda tasting in a typical shop that produces this cheese

. Even though we have difficulty walking due to the wind, we continue our walk to go and "take refuge" in the splendid Science Museum: Nemo

Designed by the Italian Renzo Piano, it is the largest Scientific Center in the Netherlands, directly on the sea

.

In the afternoon we change plans again...unfortunately the weather has worsened and we decide to visit another wonder that this splendid city has to offer us: Anne Frank House

The Anne Frank House is a house-museum in Amsterdam, set up starting in 1960 in what was partly the house where the young German Jew Anne Frank and her family, together with the Van Pels, remained hidden for two years during the Nazi occupation in the Netherlands

. Even though it was my personal second visit, it is a Museum that leaves me speechless and that I cannot describe

.

When returning to the hotel to go out for dinner we couldn't help but stop to photograph: the spectacular and majestic Koninklijk Paleis Amsterdam Royal Palace; the Munttoren or the Mint Tower; and the De Nieuwe Kerk, the New Church located near the famous Amsterdam Dam Square

. Even this evening we can go to sleep satisfied and full of new wonders seen and experienced
