Amsterdam Day 1 – Zoe & Zak Trip

Day 1

Un week end di 3 giorni ad Amsterdam

, in pieno febbraio… ma del resto a noi poco importa se fuori c’è la neve o il sole… l’importante è visitare nuove culture e nuovi luoghi

. Volo da Napoli di buon ora e dopo un rapido check in in hotel, alle 11 siamo già in giro a goderci la città

. Girovaghiamo in lungo e in largo il centro di Amesterdam , visitando una “bottega” di produzione del Gouda, il formaggio più conosciuto dell’ Olanda, un negozietto di “Klompen” i famosi zoccoli in legno

… il tutto mangiando patatine fritte enormi

comprate ovviamente da Manneken Pis Damrak. Il pomeriggio ci regala una delle più belle escursioni in bici con guida fatte fino ad ora

. La guida ci ha davvero portato in angoli spettacolari non facendo mancare ovviamente i siti più famosi come : Magna Plaza (centro commerciale enorme), la Beurs van Berlage che oggi ospita mostre e concerti ed in passato era la borsa ufficiale di Amsterdam, la Westerkerk con la sua imponente torre di 85 metri (famosa chiesa occidentale) ed ovviamente l’immancabile Magere brug

. Stanchi, infreddoliti ma pienamente soddisfatti, dopo cena un rapido giro nel quartiere a luci rosse, il De Wallen, molto caratteristico e ben mantenuto….

Day 1

A 3-day weekend in Amsterdam

, in the middle of February... but then we don't care if there's snow or sun outside... the important thing is to visit new cultures and new places

. I fly from Naples early and after a quick check in at the hotel, at 11 we are already out and about enjoying the city

. We wander far and wide through the center of Amesterdam, visiting a "shop" producing Gouda, the best-known cheese in Holland, a small shop selling "Klompen" the famous wooden clogs

... all while eating huge fries

bought obviously by Manneken Pis Damrak. The afternoon gives us one of the most beautiful guided bike excursions done so far

. The guide really took us to spectacular corners, obviously not missing the most famous sites such as: Magna Plaza (huge shopping centre), the Beurs van Berlage which today hosts exhibitions and concerts and in the past was the official stock exchange of Amsterdam, the Westerkerk with its imposing 85 meter tower (famous western church) and of course the inevitable Magere brug

. Tired, cold but fully satisfied, after dinner a quick tour of the red light district, De Wallen, very characteristic and well maintained...
