Penultimo giorno di questo altro nostro splendido girovagare, e si era deciso di non “spingere più sull’acceleratore” ma bensì di girovagare tra negozi, shopping e strade infinite per goderci la città e la splendida giornata di sole ma con -14 gradi. Ma senza accorgercene alla fine un po’ di cosette le abbiamo messe in agenda

Dopo una fantastica e mozzafiato alba in solitaria alle 6:30 che mi ha emozionato smisuratamente una delle più belle viste negli ultimi anni che si aggiungono alle tante negli State e in Canada, siamo usciti tutti insieme e dopo qualche negozio ci siamo fermati al Chicago sport Museum, una chicca per gli amanti degli sport negli USA ed in particolare di Chicago Usciti dai tanti cimeli abbiamo visitato la vicina Fourth Presbyterian Church dove vennero girate alcune scene del film “Il matrimonio del mio migliore amico “ con Julia Roberts. Chiesa molto bella esteticamente e ben tenuta internamente . Merenda tardiva (si sono fatte quasi le 13:00) da Starbucks Reserve Roastery Chicago e via di nuovo in cammino. Tra un negozio ed un altro, e qualche acquisto mirato di Zoe & Zak decidiamo di pranzare nuovamente nella Walnut Room At Macy's Chicago dove ci eravamo trovati bene. Il pranzo porta idee e una volta terminato ci dirigiamo nel vicino Museum of Illusions - Chicago molto simile ad altri già visti altrove, format standard ma a noi e ai ragazzi piace sempre e ci fa spendere volentieri un 2 ore tra risate, giochi, rompicapo e notizie interessanti. Stanchi, con il buio che è calato e con -15 esterni ci incamminiamo verso l’hotel. Circa 2,5 km tra negozi e marciapiedi gelati rubando scatti fotografici un po’ ovunque. Anche questa giornata “non impegnativa “ giunge a termine stanchi ma arricchiti da tante cose nuove e dallo stare insieme tutti e quattro h/24

Day 8

The penultimate day of our other wonderful wandering, and we had decided not to "push the accelerator" anymore but rather to wander around shops, shopping and endless streets to enjoy the city and the splendid sunny day but with -14 degrees. But without realizing it, in the end we put a few things on the agenda

After a fantastic and breathtaking solo sunrise at 6:30 that moved me immeasurably one of the most beautiful views in recent years that add to the many in the States and Canada, we all went out together and after a few shops we stopped at the Chicago Sport Museum, a gem for sports lovers in the USA and in particular in Chicago Encouraged by the many memorabilia we visited the nearby Fourth Presbyterian Church where some scenes from the film "My Best Friend's Wedding" with Julia Roberts were filmed. Who knows, very beautiful aesthetically and well kept internally . Late snack (it was almost 1:00 pm) at Starbucks Reserve Roastery Chicago and off we go again. Between one shop and another, and some targeted purchases from Zoe & Zak we decide to have lunch again at the Walnut Room At Macy's Chicago where we had a good time. Lunch brings ideas and once finished we head to the nearby Museum of Illusions - Chicago very similar to others already seen elsewhere, a very similar format but we and the kids always like it and it makes us willingly spend 2 hours between laughter, games, puzzles and interesting news. Tired, with darkness that has fallen and with -15 outside we walk towards the hotel. About 2.5 km between shops and frozen sidewalks stealing photographic shots a bit everywhere. Even this "non-demanding" day ends tired but enriched by many new things and by being together all four of us 24/7
